公民黨就檢討法定
最低工資水平意見書

政府自 2013 年起，每兩年檢討一次最低工資水平，雖然符合《最低工資條例》，但通脹情況反映政府應頻密地作出檢討。通脹依然肆虐， 最新的統計數字顯示，2020 年2月份整體消費物價與一年前同月比較，上升 2.2%，三月份整體消費物價與一年前同月比較，上升 2.3%。由此可見，最低工資所帶來的收入升幅已不能追及通脹速度， 基層市民的購買力及生活水平仍然沒有得到改善。為確保最低工資 可追上基層員工的生活水平，公民黨認為政府應實行一年檢討一次 最低工資水平，確保加幅能追補通脹差額，以保障基層僱員。公民黨認為訂立最低工資時，必須考慮家庭的基本生活需要，確保工資水 平足夠使顧員建立並恰當地維持一個家庭，並且對此家庭的未來能有保障 。
