市民普遍反對申亞 促訂長遠體育政策

就香港應否申辦2023年亞洲運動會，公民黨認為2009年香港主辦東亞運動會，雖然在短期內喚起了市民對體育發展的關注，但對於推動香港的體育文化發展，效果並不顯著。故此，公民黨認為香港要推動體育文化發展，申辦大型國際運動會並非唯一和最有效的方式。至於達至社會凝聚，主辦大型國際運動會更非唯一可行的渠道。故此，公民黨對申辦2023年亞洲運動會表示強烈保留。
